ORISSA SERVICE CENTRE FOR THE BLIND
(OSCB) It is a registered organization under the Society Act 1860. It’s a non-profit, charitable, voluntary organization that works for the welfare of the Divyanga people. The main motto of the organization is “service to mankind is service to God. “With this motto, it has been sincerely working since 2004 in all over
ODISHA. The main motto of the
OSCB is to provide Education, Socioeconomic rehabilitation, social security, and Employment to the differently-abled to live with their families and
participate in social and creative events. So that they can live like other ordinary people in society.
The organization has undertaken
various activities for the welfare of the Divyanga People. Like: - Community Based
Rehabilitation (CBR) – special focus on Disability Rights, Equality & Justice. To
provide Mobility, Music, Singing, Manners, and behavior building for Divyanga
women/Young Girls, and make them independent. Promotion of nutrition and health of
children and mothers through training. In addition to the above, the
organization shall conduct awareness camps, creating zeal among the people
for donation of eyes, Blood, and body for the use of the needy.
The organization has established a special MUSICAL Troupe named “SRI JAGANNATH DIVYANGA BHAJAN SAMAROHA “to communicate excellence in song & MUSIC to the blind girls and boys of ODISHA. In addition, the organization has focused on occupational training, computer training, activities, home science, Daily living skills, etc. & provides financial assistance to Divyang, Widows, needy/orphans, and financial help to the arrangement of SELF-HELP GROUPS
